CB5 and Antea Group are challenging you and your fellow students to use the natural building material, bamboo, to create a beautiful pavilion or folly. On March 12th 2024, we invite you to an inspiring lunch lecture by architect Olav Bruin, where he will discuss how he incorporates bamboo into his projects. Following the lecture, we will introduce this year’s assignment for the Bamboo Challenge and provide all the information you need to participate.

And then, April 23th, it’s time for action! Supported by experienced carpenters, you and your team will work on the Koeveld to bring your bamboo design to life. Enjoy a tasty lunch, then a BBQ with drinks and get ready for the announcement of the winning team by our expert jury!

The subscriptions of the Bamboo Challenge open on the day of the lunch lecture. We expect you on March 12th and April 23th for an unforgettable experience full of creativity, teamwork and, of course, lots of bamboo!
