Bamboo Challenge introduction lecture

Curious about building with bamboo and participating in the Bamboo Challenge? Get your free lunch and join us for an inspiring lecture with architects and urban designers Hanne de Jonge and Ivan Glenn Leinse, where we’ll unveil this years Bamboo Challenge! 

CB5 and Antea Group are challenging you and your fellow students to use the natural building material, bamboo, to create a beautiful and interesting pavilion. Take this opportunity to show off your architectural and construction design skills. The Bamboo Challenge isn’t just another competition; it’s a chance to showcase your passion for sustainable building and inspire the world with the power of bamboo. There is also a cash prize of €1000 for the big winners!

On March 25th, we invite you to an inspiring lunch lecture, where we will discuss how to build with bamboo, why choose bamboo in the first place and finally some information about the Bamboo Challenge, this years theme and all the information you need to participate.

And then, April 22nd, it’s time to build! Supported by experienced carpenters, you and your team will work the whole day on the Koeveld to bring your bamboo design to life. Enjoy a tasty lunch, then a BBQ with drinks and get ready for the announcement of the winning team by our expert jury!

The subscriptions of the Bamboo Challenge open on the day of the lunch lecture. We expect you on March 25th and April 22nd for an unforgettable experience full of creativity, teamwork and, of course, lots of bamboo!
